Reservoir Engineer

Role Overview: You will be working as a Reservoir Engineer at bp, specifically in the Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) team. Your main responsibility will be to provide high-quality technical products to address business challenges in oil, gas, and low carbon businesses. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across BP's global portfolio, ranging from early field development projects to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) fields. Your primary focus will be on reserves estimation, reservoir management, and production forecasting. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize classical reservoir engineering methods to analyze and integrate wells and reservoir data - Conduct reservoir engineering analyses including rate and pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis, and volumetric analyses - Provide technical analysis, judgment, and guidance to support the identification and evaluation of resources - Support the delivery of projects and progression of resources - Apply reservoir engineering concepts to optimize production and recovery - Assess surveillance and analogue data to promote hydrocarbon resources progression - Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide input for reserves/resources estimation and reporting Qualification Required: - Educational qualifications: BSc/MSc degree in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or related applied science engineering - Experience: 4 to 12 years as a Reservoir Engineer with expertise in classical reservoir engineering and reserves estimation - Skills: Strong understanding of reservoir analysis fundamentals, experience in Reservoir Management and Reservoir Performance, proficiency in classical RE toolkits, excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to manage multiple activities and respond to changing priorities Company Information: bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune is focused on delivering high-quality services to hydrocarbons and new energy businesses worldwide.
