Reservoir Engineer

Role Overview: You will be a Reservoir Engineer in the Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) team at bp, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical products to address business challenges in the oil, gas, and low carbon sectors. Your responsibilities will include reservoir engineering activities such as reserves estimation, resources progression, reservoir management, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) field development. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across BP's global portfolio. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize classical reservoir engineering methods to analyze and integrate well and reservoir data for regions across the globe - Conduct reservoir engineering analyses including pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis, material balance, and volumetric analyses - Provide technical guidance and support for projects and resource progression - Apply reservoir engineering concepts to optimize production and recovery, considering rock and fluid properties, relative permeability, and depletion mechanisms - Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess surveillance data, development activities, and provide input for reserves/resources estimation and reporting Qualifications Required: - Bsc / Msc degree in Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering or related applied science engineering - 4 to 12 years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer with expertise in classical reservoir engineering and reserves estimation - Strong understanding of reservoir analysis fundamentals and experience with classical RE toolkits (e.g. PETEX IPM, Kappa (Saphir)) - Skillful communication and influencing skills with a track record of sharing learnings - Ability to manage multiple activities, respond to changing priorities, and work effectively in a team environment Additional Details: bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune is focused on delivering high-quality services to the hydrocarbons and new energy businesses worldwide.
