The role of Senior Reservoir Engineer at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) center in Pune requires utilizing broad reservoir engineering experience to inform reserves estimation, resources progression, and reservoir management activities. As part of the Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) team, you will collaborate with regions globally on various projects, ranging from early field development offshore West Africa to large-scale waterflood developments in the Caspian Sea and Middle East. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct classical reservoir engineering analyses, including rate and pressure transient analysis, material balance, decline curve analysis, and volumetric analyses to support reservoir evaluation and reserves estimation. - Provide technical analysis, judgment, and guidance for identifying and progressing value-generating resources. - Support region decisions on reserves estimation, reservoir management, and production forecasting. - Collaborate with global teams to analyze field performance and optimize recovery. - Work with engineers across disciplines to align subsurface products with reserves estimation expectations. - Support delivery of projects and resource progression through surveillance and analogue data assessment. Qualifications: - BSc/MSc degree in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or related applied science engineering. - 15+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer with expertise in classical reservoir engineering and reserves estimation. - Strong understanding of reservoir analysis fundamentals and experience with tools like PETEX IPM and Kappa (Saphir). - Skilled in well test analysis, waterflood management, and gas reservoir management. - Excellent communication and influencing skills with a track record of sharing knowledge. - Ability to manage multiple activities, respond to changing priorities, and meet short-term deadlines.
