Reservation Executive (Opera PMS)

Job Summary

The Reservation Executive is responsible for handling all guest reservation requests efficiently and professionally using the Opera Property Management System (PMS). This role ensures accurate bookings, maximizes room revenue, delivers exceptional customer service, and supports the reservations team in maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reservation Management

  • Manage individual and group reservations through Opera PMS with accuracy and speed.
  • Update guest profiles, room availability, rate codes, and booking details in Opera.
  • Ensure reservations are processed according to hotel standards and policies.
  • Modify, cancel, or confirm reservations as required.

2. Customer Service

  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Provide information about room types, rates, promotions, hotel facilities, and local attractions.
  • Handle special requests and preferences to enhance guest satisfaction.

3. Revenue & Sales Support

  • Upsell room categories, packages, and hotel services to maximize revenue.
  • Follow yield management principles and adhere to rate restrictions set by the Revenue Manager.
  • Monitor booking trends and report unusual patterns or high-demand periods.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals.
  • Coordinate group bookings, rooming lists, and special events.
  • Communicate changes or important reservation notes to relevant teams.

5. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily reservation reports, pickup summaries, no-show reports, and occupancy forecasts.
  • Maintain organized records of bookings, correspondence, and guest preferences.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and privacy standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Opera PMS (Opera Cloud or Opera V5) is mandatory.
  • Understanding of online booking channels (OTA), GDS, and CRS systems.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Reservations or Front Office, preferably in a hotel environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
