Reservation Executive

As an Assistant in the absence of Manager, you will be responsible for conducting shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. You will also focus on selling InterContinental Hotels Group products and services by utilizing up-selling and suggestive selling techniques. Your key responsibilities will include: - Promoting the Hotels (and IHG generally) products and services - Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge about all ICHG Hotels in your region - Developing and maintaining a regular pattern of sales calls - Preparing and executing action plans to increase reservation sales and associated business - Recording and processing reservations made by phone/fax/email - Accepting wait list reservations - Processing amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc - Managing no show reservations by investigation and recording of same - Recording special billing arrangements for groups and conventions - Liaising with Front Office Manager or Finance Manager for all reservations requiring credit approval - Maintaining knowledge of special rates/ offers/ promotions - Monitoring reservation levels and informing Managers of current and future occupancy rates - Preparing reports as requested (e.g., to travel agents, business houses, etc) - Preparing reservation sales reports If you believe you possess most of the qualifications and skills required for this role, we encourage you to hit the "Apply" button and start your journey with us today.,
