Job Description

Job Title: Reservation Executive

Department: Reservation

Reports To: Reservation Manager

The Reservation Executive is responsible for handling room reservations efficiently, maximizing occupancy and revenue, and providing excellent customer service to guests through accurate booking management and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle room reservations via phone, email, online platforms, and walk-ins
  • Process, confirm, modify, and cancel reservations accurately
  • Maintain and update reservation records in the system (PMS/CRM)
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, and Housekeeping for room availability
  • Upsell rooms, packages, and hotel services to maximize revenue
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and special requests
  • Ensure correct billing details, rates, and payment information
  • Monitor occupancy levels and report daily reservation status
  • Handle guest complaints related to reservations professionally
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of reservation systems (Opera, IDS, CRS preferred)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, spreadsheets)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management or related field (preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in hotel reservations or front office
  • Knowledge of OTA platforms (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.) is an advantage
