Job Title: Electrician – Hospitality Industry Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance HOD Location: Miramar, Panaji Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment in the hotel/resort. The role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with local codes and hotel standards to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment including lighting, wiring, power outlets, circuit breakers, HVAC units, elevators, and kitchen equipment. Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests related to electrical issues. Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety codes and operational standards. Troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical systems and recommend appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance schedules. Assist with energy management systems and monitor power usage to optimize energy efficiency. Collaborate with other maintenance staff (plumbers, HVAC technicians, etc.) to resolve complex problems. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely. Adhere to hotel safety and security procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols. Participate in preventive maintenance programs and hotel renovations or upgrades. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Valid electrician license as per local regulations. Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations. Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of general maintenance tasks (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) is an advantage. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
