About the Role

Chemco Innovative Chemie Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Research & Development Chemist to advance innovation, synthesis, and process development for specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, and APIs.
This role supports the transformation of laboratory expertise into scalable, compliant production processes in collaboration with the R&D Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Development Operations

• Conduct lab-scale synthesis, reaction optimization, and process validation according to project goals.​
• Maintain precise experimental logs, analytical records, and documentation for scale-up projects - in line with cGMP Good Documentation Practices
• Ensure all work aligns with cGMP, APIC, GLP, and internal quality protocols.​
• Partner with analytical team for thorough testing and characterization of product intermediates and finals.​

2. Process & Scale-Up Support

• Assist with process optimization, pilot trials, and troubleshooting.​
• Support technology transfers to production with batch protocols and process validation.​
• Track data, document deviations, and participate in process improvement during scale-up.​

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with Production, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Marketing for smooth project handover and commercialization.​
• Participate in literature surveys, FTO reviews, and patent checks when needed.​

4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Suggest methods for yield improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency.​
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices in chemical R&D.​
• Contribute to new product development and technical feasibility assessments.​

Requirements

• M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on R&D experience in fine chemicals, intermediates, or APIs.​
• Knowledge of analytical instruments (HPLC, GC)
• Proven experimental, documentation, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and ICH norms.
• Self-driven, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-focused setting.
