About the Institute

MIHM is an interdisciplinary research centre at ISB that provides insights on healthcare delivery and management to policymakers, public institutions, and corporates to enable the creation of better health systems through integrated elements of research, education and outreach.

Job Purpose

To support research projects at MIHM through research design, data collection, field work, data analysis, and preparation of analytical outputs for academic and practitioner use.

Job Outline

We are seeking a Research Analyst to support ongoing and new research projects at MIHM. The role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of research, data, and policy — combining rigorous academic inquiry with practical relevance. The RA will work closely with ISB professors and partner organizations to support all aspects of research design, data collection and management, analysis, and reporting.

Job Specifications

Knowledge / Education:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Public Health or related fields.

Specific Skills:

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory Experience:

• Minimum 1-year professional experience in research, policy, consulting, or related field (including internships and research assistantships)
• Strong analytical ability and data interpretation skills, with working knowledge of econometrics or statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Punjabi and Hindi to communicate with field teams and partner organisations.
• Prior experience in field-based research and willingness to travel to field.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data systems for field studies, including primary data collection through surveys and secondary data extraction from digital platforms.
• Coordinate with field teams and partner organizations to ensure high quality data and process monitoring.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative datasets using statistical and visualization tools.
Prepare analytical reports and research briefs for academic and practitioner audiences.
