Remedial Counselor

The Remedial Counselor sprimary role is to provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy tostudents and families as appropriate and prepare treatment plans, dischargeplans, and follow-up care programs.

What you will be doing:

1. Help students to overcomelearning disabilities. 2.Focus onassisting individuals who suffer from conditions that interfere with learning,and those with language and reasoning disabilities. 3.Helpsstudents improve their focus and work habits 4.Work onbasic concepts like logical categorization and analytical skills 5.Buildskills and strategies which help students manage learning or attention issuesand improve schoolwork 6.Improveattention skills and phonetics awareness 7.Help withthe students academic skills, social communication, and boost self-confidence 8.Teachtime management and organizational skills 9.Provide asafe environment for discussing school and to learn how to self-advocate 10.Act as alink between home and school

Who we are looking for:Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:

1.Degree from a recognizedUniversity in Psychology/ Social Work/ Counselling 2.Certificationin Counselling, remedial therapies / relevant courses / Autism / Special needs/ Mental Health / Remedial Education and Psychotherapy will be an addedadvantage.

Experience:

Minimum 2-6 years of experience.
