Sailing experience or hands-on experience in a crewing/payroll department in a ship management company. Familiarity with IMO, MLC, GDPR and STCW regulations is a strong plus. Collaborate with crewing managers, payroll teams, and other stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements. Translate maritime domain knowledge into functional specifications for ERP development. Lead workshops and discussions with vessel crew (if required) and shore departments to understand pain points and expectations. Document business processes, workflows, use cases, and user stories, particularly for Crewing, Payroll, Contracts, and Welfare modules. Provide domain expertise and input into the product roadmap. Coordinate with developers, QA teams, and UX designers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of features. Assist with UAT, training sessions, and user onboarding. Job Description Required Qualifications : Bachelor s Degree in HCI, product design or related field, with an emphasis on human-centred design, user experience, interaction design Required Experience : 4-5 years of experience in product design or User Experience (UX) Design and Research. Experience in designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes. Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space, facilitate brainstorming sessions and convey design ideas. Ability to grasp the essence of complex problems and translate them to practical design solutions. Ideate products from scratch and improve features. Proficiency in fundamental visual & interaction design principles. Strong understanding and expertise in Figma and/or other prototyping tools. Responsibilities : Understand business problems: gain a deep understanding of the business problems to create contextually relevant design solutions. Participate in research activities and collaborate with researchers to translate UX research into user experiences: transform UX research insights into exceptional user experiences, guiding design from initial concept to final implementation. Work closely with other designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of users needs and behaviors, and functional requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions. Develop essential UX artefacts and communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with concept maps, wireframes, storyboards, task flows, information architecture, mockups/ prototypes and design specifications.
