Role Overview: The Release Management team at TransPerfect works closely with Product Managers, Development, Quality Assurance, and Compliance to ensure that the product offerings meet client and regulatory requirements. As a Release Management Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist with Release Management practices, implement Release Management processes, and ensure the correct information is captured for each release. You will collaborate with various teams to gather testing information, maintain awareness of development processes, and assist in the technical documentation and validation process. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with Release Management practices including implementation and maintenance of RM disciplines. - Implement Release Management processes according to department and company standards. - Create Confluence Build and Release pages for tracking details of each product build and release. - Work closely with the QA team to gather testing information and integration details. - Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure accurate information is captured for the release. - Gather approvals from stakeholders for release. - Assist the Director with Validation Package creation and other process documentation related to Release Management. - Disseminate build notices for approval and acceptance. - Assist in training team members on Release Management processes. - Assist with technical documentation and OLH validation. - Prepare the Release environment, verify FTP transfers, resolve JIRA issues, and check in Release detail documentation. - Maintain the product integration matrix. - Complete all other tasks assigned by your manager/supervisor. Qualifications Required: - Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Understanding of Software Release Methodologies. - Self-motivated and detail-oriented. - Ability to use the command line in a Unix/Linux environment. - BCA/BE in Computer Sciences (Freshers are welcome). - Desired skills and experience include experience with virtualization, Mac OS, Windows, UNIX, and Linux, SVN, Ant, Eclipse, Tortoise SVN, Tomcat, hardware, and software issues.
