Release Management Specialist

As a member of the Release Management team at TransPerfect, your role involves working closely with Product Managers, Development, Quality Assurance, and Compliance to ensure that the TransPerfect product offerings meet client and regulatory requirements. Your primary responsibility is to verify and gather evidence that the Software Development Life Cycle has been followed. You will be expected to assist with Release Management practices, implement Release Management processes, create Confluence Build and Release pages, work with the QA team, gather testing information, ensure accurate information capture for releases, and maintain awareness of development/QA/release management processes and policies. Additionally, you will gather approvals from stakeholders, assist with Validation Package creation, disseminate build notices, provide training to team members, and assist with technical documentation and OLH validation. Other tasks assigned by your manager/supervisor should also be completed diligently. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with Release Management practices and maintenance of RM disciplines - Implement Release Management processes according to department and company standards - Create Confluence Build and Release pages for tracking product build and release details - Collaborate with the QA team and Product Manager to ensure accurate release information - Maintain awareness of development/QA/release management processes and policies - Gather approvals from stakeholders for releases - Assist with Validation Package creation and process documentation - Disseminate build notices and obtain approvals - Assist with training team members and technical documentation - Prepare the Release environment, verify FTP transfers, resolve JIRA issues, and check in Release detail documentation - Maintain product integration matrix - Perform other tasks assigned by your manager/supervisor Qualifications Required: - BCA/BE in Computer Sciences - Freshers are welcome Desired Skills and Experience: - Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal skills, and organizational skills - Understanding of Software Release Methodologies - Self-motivated and detail-oriented - Ability to use command line in a Unix/Linux environment - Experience with virtualization - Proficiency in Mac OS, Windows, UNIX, and Linux - Familiarity with SVN, Ant, Eclipse, Tortoise SVN, and Tomcat - Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines - Experience in handling hardware and software issues As an ideal candidate for this role, you should be proactive, take ownership of your work, communicate effectively within a team, and thrive under pressure.
