Regulatory Affairs Officer

As an integrated container logistics company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and governance, overseeing business operations, managing tax compliance, implementing internal controls and risk management, handling reporting and disclosures, engaging with stakeholders, and providing strategic advisory to the management. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring the company's full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations such as SEZ FEMA, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act. - Serving as the primary liaison with tax authorities, banks, auditors, and other regulators. - Overseeing operations including documentation and asset management. - Ensuring accurate maintenance of records related to leased assets, lease counterparties, and financing. - Ensuring timely filing of tax returns and other related compliances. - Implementing and monitoring internal control frameworks for operational efficiency and risk mitigation. - Ensuring adequate risk management mechanisms for credit risk, operational risk, and compliance risk. - Ensuring timely submission of required reports to authorities. - Supervising preparation and filing of audited financial statements. - Managing relationships with banks, legal advisors, lessors, lessees, auditors, and regulatory authorities. - Providing strategic guidance to management on regulatory changes, business development, and compliance matters. To be successful in this role, you should ideally have a Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or equivalent professional qualification, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in compliance, finance, or regulatory functions, preferably in financial services or shipping. Additionally, strong knowledge of SEZ regulations and Indian tax laws, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills, will be essential for excelling in this position.,
