Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – East Reports To: Head – National Sales & Business Development Role Type: Team Manager Location: Kolkata Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive growth in the automotive aftermarket segment. The role involves leading a team of Area Sales Managers, developing strategic plans, and strengthening market presence across the Eastern region. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, strategic thinking, and customer relationship management to deliver profitable sales growth and long-term success. Key Responsibilities Drive profitable sales growth and expand market share of the SKF portfolio by leading and managing Area Sales Managers. Develop and implement sales strategies (budget, forecast, plans) aligned with SKF’s overall business objectives. Deploy and institutionalize the SKF sales process by leveraging sales tools, regular monitoring, and compliance with approved strategies. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless execution of sales plans. Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and channel partners. Address customer concerns effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Drive adoption of sales-enabling IT tools among sales teams and channel partners. Develop and manage the zonal sales budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation. Coach, mentor, and develop sales team members through training, performance management, and succession planning. Set clear sales targets, track progress, and provide guidance to ensure delivery. Key Metrics for Success Achievement of revenue and margin targets. Accuracy of business plan forecasting. Organic growth through new products, offerings, and customer acquisition. Compliance with sales processes and systems. Succession planning – developing at least one successor for critical roles. Core Competencies Strong leadership in developing and managing high-performing sales teams. Business acumen and sound financial knowledge. Expertise in funnel management and forecasting. Executive-level communication skills (CXO/Top Management interactions). Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Candidate Profile Engineering Graduate or any Graduate with an MBA (preferred). 10–16 years of experience in frontline retail sales and distributor management, ideally within the automotive aftermarket or allied industries. Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing large teams, and delivering strategic business results.
