Regional Contracts Specialist

As a Regional Contracts Specialist at Baker Hughes Company, your role will involve drafting, reviewing, negotiating, interpreting, and administering various agreements, contracts, documents, and forms to support the Quest Integrity business regionally, specifically the Middle East, Europe, and Africa regions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing complex contract documents and making necessary markups in compliance with established protocols and timing requirements - Mitigating contractual risks by negotiating terms and conditions to align with commercial and organizational objectives and escalating issues as needed - Articulating the Quest Integrity contracting position persuasively with reasoned justifications - Learning, understanding, and adhering to applicable contract review policies and procedures - Managing contract negotiation workflows and administration processes, including intake, tracking, follow-up, execution, and filing - Modifying contract review procedures when necessary and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to leverage available resources - Communicating with various approvers outside the business regarding contract provisions - Following established processes for subcontractor approvals, including liaising with HSSE and risk management in subcontract agreement preparation and negotiation - Acquiring an in-depth understanding of Quest Integrity business to identify associated risks and commercial strategies effectively - Interacting with management, business and support unit personnel, sales personnel, internal legal counsel, and client personnel - Upholding ethics and work conduct expectations outlined in the Code of Conduct and Values and Expected Behaviors - Performing any additional duties as assigned by the company To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred - Minimum of 5 years of contract experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment - Expert knowledge of contracting concepts and terms - Comfortable negotiating via various communication methods (written, telephonic, virtual, in-person) - Ability to balance commercial, operational, and legal risks with business justifications in accordance with company guidelines - Experience in cross-border contract negotiation and familiarity with international trade laws and regulations - Professional demeanor, strong customer service skills, high energy, and optimistic attitude - Excellent analytical and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail - Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, and self-motivated - Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment - Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain focus on the big picture - Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods - Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet research; familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred - Resourcefulness and a commitment to excellence In addition to the above, Baker Hughes offers flexible working patterns that include working flexible hours and a remote work location.
