Regional Construction Manager

Role & responsibilities

Drawing Interpretation and Execution

Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.

Ensure execution is in line with approved drawings and engineering standards.

Customer Handling and Communication

Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations.

Address customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.

Build and maintain strong client relationships for long-term engagement.

Vendor Selection and Evaluation

Identify and shortlist suitable construction vendors and subcontractors.

Evaluate vendors based on technical capability, safety records, and cost-effectiveness.

Finalize vendor contracts aligned with project and quality requirements.

Project Lifecycle Management

• Oversee complete lifecycle from preconstruction planning to project close-out.
• Drive adherence to project schedules and proactive issue resolution.

Site Safety and Legal Compliance

Supervise construction activities on-site and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.

Coordinate with internal teams to address compliance issues proactively.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

Enforce adherence to site-specific legal and statutory requirements.

Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Coordinate with internal teams to address compliance issues proactively.

Risk & Issue Management

• Address work delays, emergencies, and any other project disruptions with prompt and effective responses.
• Develop contingency plans and resolve on-ground challenges to ensure continuity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
• Maintain clear communication and coordination across engineering, procurement, and execution teams
  

People Leadership and Team Development

- Lead and mentor a Site engineers, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture.

- Provide direction by offering ongoing guidance to ensure strong performance management.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification BE - Mechanical ONLY

Years of experience 10-15 Years in Project Execution of Boiler or Heating Equipments

Proficiency in using MS Excel and MS projects(Preferred), Knowledge in erection of boilers, Fuel handling and Ash handling knowledge, understanding of quality procedures, IBR Liasioning, electrical and instrumentation installation, ESP installation and welding procedures, Must be aware of Pre-Commissioning activities.
