Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Oversee and manage the collections team within the assigned region to ensure timely recovery of receivables.
Develop and implement region-specific collection strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
Monitor regional aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on aging buckets and risk assessment.
Communicate with customers to arrange payments, negotiate terms, and resolve collection-related issues.
Analyze delinquent accounts and recommend appropriate recovery actions.
Prepare and present regular MIS/reports on regional collection performance, trends, and key metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and streamline collection processes.
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards within the region.
Work with high attention to detail, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Maintain strong control, compliance, and due diligence throughout the collection process.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 6+ years of experience in collections, including at least 3 years in a managerial/team-handling role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in the local language is a must.
Proficient in MIS and analytics, with hands-on experience in dashboards, reporting, and data interpretation.
Strategic thinker with strong networking skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in Banking, NBFC, or Fintech is preferred especially in Personal Loans/Unsecured lending.
