Job Description

To drive regional business growth by expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and managing key accounts within the packaging industry. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, increasing share of wallet, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering revenue and margin targets in the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, evaluate, and convert new business opportunities across food, beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, and industrial packaging segments.
  • Develop and execute regional business development plans aligned with organizational growth strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in rigid, flexible, and sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent conversion to achieve quarterly and annual targets.

2. Key Account Management

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic accounts.
  • Act as a single point of contact for major accountsoverseeing pricing, contract negotiations, service levels, and issue resolution.
  • Drive account growth by introducing new products, solutions, and value-added services.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.

3. Sales & Commercial Execution

  • Achieve regional sales volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with pricing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer service excellence.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely payments from customers.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support customer trials, product customization, and solution development.
  • Coordinate with production planning teams to align delivery schedules based on customer requirements.
  • Partner with marketing teams for product promotions, customer presentations, and industry events.

5. Customer Insights & Strategy

  • Provide actionable insights on customer needs, product performance, and packaging innovations.
  • Contribute to annual business planning, budgeting, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer engagement programs.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in packaging industry sales (flexible or aseptic verticals).
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and application engineering.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and technical discussions.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and forecasting abilities.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable managing regional travel.
