About Us

MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout instore using either self-checkout via their own smartphones, or using MishiPays industry leading, minimalist, low cap-ex kiosks. We are creating an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.

MishiPay now also runs Mobile POS, Click and Collect and Cash registers, so that merchants, who initially start with our self-checkout, can eventually run their whole store checkout process on MishiPay. With our technology, retailers have proven reductions in cost, due to requiring fewer cashiers, a marked increase in sales due to improved basket sizes, higher frequency of shopper visits and reduction in abandoned baskets, and in addition, all our retailers can access rich and priceless data about their customers. This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores.

To support our talented technical team based in Bangalore, we re looking for a proactive and people-focused Recruitment Officer to join our growing tech organisation. This is a hands-on role that blends Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.

We re not looking for a senior HR leader. We re looking for someone with strong technical recruitment experience and some HR exposure, who is willing to learn. You ll be comfortable with recruiting at all levels in technical disciplines, conducting HR admin and supporting our global head with issues that may arise in our Bangalore office. More widely, you will help design and deliver cultural initiatives and events. You ll work across the whole recruitment life-cycle, and support managers and employees across the business to help create a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven environment. Ideally you will have KEKA experience.

You will be able to cope with working at pace, switching comfortably between recruitment and day-to-day operational tasks.

It s essential you have fluent written and spoken English as we are a multi-cultural, international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across technical roles, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
  • Build talent pipelines through direct sourcing, networking and market research.
  • Support hiring managers with role scoping, interview plans and decision-making.
  • Support onboarding and induction experiences to ensure new joiners feel included and set up for success.
  • Handle day-to-day HR queries and provide accurate, timely support to employees and managers.
  • Maintain employee records, contracts, onboarding/offboarding documentation and HRIS updates.
  • Assist with policy updates, compliance checks and process improvements.
  • Provide first-line ER support including note-taking, guidance on low-risk issues, and escalation to our Global Head where needed.
  • Support managers with performance conversations, documentation and follow-up.
  • Track ER themes and highlight potential risks or opportunities for improvement.
  • Help design and deliver cultural initiatives, events and internal communications that strengthen connection and belonging.
  • Gather employee feedback and contribute to engagement action plans.

  • About You

  • Previous experience recruiting a wide selection of technical roles, at all levels and in all areas, in a high-growth environment.
  • Some HR experience. You must have experience of administrating a HR system, even basic knowledge, ideally KEKA.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with discretion, integrity and respect for confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment law basics and interest in developing further expertise.
  • A degree from a top University
