Job Summary:

Receptionist

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner.
  
• Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries efficiently and courteously.
  
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinate with laboratory staff as needed.
  
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, registrations, and billing.
  
• Guide patients through check-in and check-out processes.
  
• Handle cash/card transactions and issue receipts.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  
• Provide basic information about laboratory services, packages, and test preparations.
  
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., technicians, billing, collection agents) to ensure seamless patient service.
  
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient records and sensitive information.
  

Requirements:

• Experience:

  1 to 4 years in a hospital, diagnostic center, or clinic front office/reception role.

• Education:

  Minimum HSC/Graduate degree (Any discipline).

• Technical Skills:

  Familiar with hospital/laboratory management software; basic computer skills (MS Office, data entry).

• Language Skills:

  Proficiency in English and local language (Tamil preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Pleasant personality with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using hospital or lab management systems (e.g., LIS, HIS software).
  
• Prior experience in a NABL/NABH accredited healthcare environment is a plus.
