Job Description

Should have a blend of core administrative duties and technical proficiency in healthcare-specific software to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record management. Core Responsibilities · Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients and visitors warmly, comfort patients by answering questions and anticipating anxieties, while managing patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times. · PMS/EHR Management: Utilize Practice Management Software (PMS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, Kareo) for various tasks. · Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, optimizing provider calendars. · Record Keeping: Accurately enter and update patient demographic, personal, and financial information, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of medical records in compliance with the medical guidelines and regulations. · Billing: Process patient registrations, verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect co-pays and outstanding balances, and assist with billing inquiries or third-party claims submission. · Communication: Handle a high volume of multi-line phone calls, emails, and messages, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or medical staff members. · Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless communication and patient care transitions.
