R&D Chemist

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct research and development activities for polymer formulations, compounds, and new product development.

· Develop, modify, and optimize polymer formulations to meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.

· Perform laboratory trials, pilot-scale experiments, and production-scale validations.

· Evaluate raw materials, additives, fillers, and polymers for suitability and performance.

· Carry out testing and analysis of polymers (physical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties).

· Analyze test results, interpret data, and prepare technical reports and documentation.

· Provide technical support to production, quality, and marketing teams for product improvements and customer trials.

· Troubleshoot formulation, processing, and quality-related issues during development and production.

· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

· Maintain proper laboratory records, SOPs, and documentation as per company guidelines.

· Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams for technical discussions and trials.

Technical Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, plastic processing, and additives.

· Hands-on experience with polymer testing instruments and lab equipment.

· Understanding of extrusion, injection molding, compounding, or related processes.

· Ability to interpret technical data sheets, test reports, and specifications.

· Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis tools.

Preferred Experience

· Experience in polymer compounding, masterbatches, or specialty additives.

· Exposure to customer trials, technical service, or application development.

· Knowledge of relevant industry standards and testing methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
