Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects related to project costing and contract administration for structural and civil engineering projects. You will work closely with design engineers, site engineers, and project managers to ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications.
• Perform cost estimation for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Evaluate and analyze project budgets and cost plans.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation.
• Handle rate analysis and benchmarking based on prevailing market rates.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and negotiations.
• Track project costs vs actual expenses to ensure financial control.
• Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs.
• Prepare and verify interim and final bills for client and subcontractors.
• Assist in variation and change order management.
• Support post-contract cost control and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or costing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or Buildsoft).
• Understanding of IS codes, CPWD/PWD formats, and construction techniques.
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
