Roles & Responsibilities

cost planning, execution, billing, and vendor coordination

Costing & Estimation

• Prepare

  detailed BOQs

  for commercial and luxury residential interior projects (fit-out & turnkey).
• Carry out

  rate analysis

  for materials, finishes, furniture, MEP, joinery, and bespoke interior items.
• Prepare

  pre-tender and post-tender cost estimates

  , budgets, and cost comparisons.
• Evaluate design changes and provide

  cost impact analysis

Measurements & Billing

• Take

  site measurements

  and verify executed quantities.
• Prepare

  client running bills (RA bills)

  and final bills with accurate quantity reconciliation.
• Verify and certify

  vendor and contractor bills

  against BOQ and site progress.
• Track variations, extra items, and deviations with proper documentation and approvals.
  

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for pricing, quantities, and timelines.
  
• Assist in

  vendor finalization

  , negotiation, and work order preparation.
• Monitor subcontractor scope, quantities, and cost adherence.
  

Procurement & Cost Control

• Support the

  procurement team

  with quantity take-offs and material requirement planning.
• Monitor material consumption vs BOQ to avoid wastage and cost overruns.
  
• Maintain

  cost control reports

  , cash flow statements, and project-wise cost summaries.

Internal Coordination

• Coordinate closely with

  design, project management, and execution teams

  to ensure BOQs align with drawings and specifications.
• Assist project managers with

  cost forecasting and budget tracking

  .
• Maintain organized project documentation related to costs, bills, and approvals.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

Required Expertise

• Strong knowledge of

  interior works

  includingorganised:
• Civil & finishing works
  
• Modular and custom joinery
  
• Furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E)
  
• MEP coordination for interiors
  
• High-end materials and luxury finishes
  
• Hands-on experience in

  BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and billing

  for interior fit-out projects.
• Ability to read and interpret

  GFC drawings, shop drawings, and specifications

  .

Experience

• 2-7 years

  of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in:
• Interior design & execution firms, or
  
• Commercial office fit-out companies, or
  
• Luxury residential interior projects
  
• Prior experience handling

  end-to-end QS responsibilities

  from estimation to final billing is highly preferred.

Software & Skills

• Proficiency in

  MS Excel

  (advanced level for costing and billing).
• Working knowledge of

  AutoCAD

  for quantity take-offs (preferred).
• Experience with project management or estimation software is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  
• High attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
