Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for projects.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses.
Manage tendering processes, including preparation and evaluation of bids.
Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle.
Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, variations, and valuations.
Prepare progress reports and assist in final account settlements.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 5-10 years in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry.
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying; RICS or equivalent certification is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting.
Strong command of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (CostX, Candy).
Knowledge of contracts, tendering, and legal compliance.
Core Competencies:
Analytical and numerical ability for cost analysis.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and vendor interactions.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and strong organizational skills.
