Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor cum Billing Engineer role at our company involves managing all aspects of the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed cost estimates, managing project budgets, analyzing drawings to prepare bills of quantities, evaluating variations and claims, monitoring project expenditures, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will also be responsible for preparing client bills and invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, conducting on-site measurements, certifying work completed by contractors, and providing regular financial reports to management. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. - Develop and manage project budgets to control costs effectively. - Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to prepare bills of quantities. - Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including tenders and contracts. - Evaluate and negotiate variations and claims to ensure project profitability. - Maintain compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project. - Prepare and submit client bills and invoices according to the agreed schedule. - Keep accurate records of financial transactions and project documentation. - Conduct on-site measurements and valuations for accurate billing. - Assess and certify the work completed by contractors. - Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities. - Prepare regular financial reports, including cost-to-complete and budget vs. actual reports. - Advise management on cost variations and financial risks. - Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution. - Coordinate with the project team for accurate billing and cost management. - Provide regular financial progress updates to project and senior management. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, billing, or a related role in the construction industry. Key Skills: - Strong analytical and mathematical skills. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Good negotiation and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Strong understanding of construction processes and materials. - Proficient in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
