Quantity Surveyor (Civil)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team, specializing in villa development and residential civil works. The ideal candidate will oversee cost estimation, contract administration, value engineering, and budget control throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, contractors, vendors, and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), rate analyses, and budget forecasts for civil works including foundation, structure, finishing, and external development.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning during the pre-tender and design stages.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts.
• Review and extract accurate quantities from drawings/plans (AutoCAD or equivalent).
• Monitor and control project costs, tracking variances between estimates and actuals.
• Manage change orders, variations, and claims; update BOQs and budgets as required.
• Reconcile material usage vs. estimates and verify supplier invoices and subcontractor bills.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with project engineers, architects, site managers, and procurement teams for seamless execution.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2- 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/ Costing Engineer in residential or villa construction projects.
• Kerala-based candidates preferred – must be fluent in Malayalam for effective site and vendor coordination.
• Strong knowledge of measurements, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, IS codes, and regional construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, and costing/billing software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
