Quantity Surveyor - Civil

You have a great opportunity for the position of Asst. Manager/Manager - Quantity Surveying - Civil with 2 to 10 years of Quantity Surveying (Civil) experience in building projects. Role Overview: - Excellent knowledge of understanding drawings for preparation of detailed measurements of Civil, Interiors, Bar Bending Schedule (BBS). - Pre & Post Contract project experience. - Familiarity with IS codes and other standards related to QS. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel. - Basic knowledge to engage in MEP services discussions and collaborate with the team. - Responsible for the correctness, accuracy of documents, reports prepared, and timely delivery of assignments. - Coordination with clients, contractors, and consultants. - Good understanding of standard Forms of Measurement. Key Responsibilities: - Cost management skills for estimating and managing construction project costs effectively. - Technical knowledge to interpret construction plans, blueprints, and related software. - Review and evaluate reconciliations, QS reports, and other reports for client reporting. - Interpersonal skills for liaising with contractors, clients, and project professionals. - Analytical thinking to review architectural plans and identify cost implications. - Communication skills for negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and providing clear cost reports. - Project management skills to oversee all construction stages and ensure cost alignment with forecasts. - Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost discrepancies. - Legal understanding for advising on contracts, warranties, and professional risks. - Knowledge of construction materials and industry updates for accurate estimates and project progress. - Analyzing contract terms and conditions, predicting risks, and mitigating precautions. - Forecasting material costs, preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation. - Adjusting budgets according to changes made in the project. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - 2-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in building projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel. - Familiarity with IS codes and standard Forms of Measurement.
