Job Description

As an Assistant Manager/Manager in Quantity Surveying - Civil, you will need to utilize your 2 to 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for building projects. Your competence and expertise will be crucial in understanding drawings for preparing detailed measurements of Civil, Interiors, and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS). You should also have experience in both pre and post-contract project phases, be well-versed in IS codes and other related standards, and possess software skills in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel. Additionally, basic knowledge of MEP services discussions and the ability to coordinate with other services will be expected from you. Your role will entail ensuring correctness and accuracy in documents and reports, and timely delivery of assignments by coordinating with clients, contractors, and consultants. Moreover, you should have a good working knowledge of standard Forms of Measurement. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize cost management skills to estimate and manage costs effectively for construction projects. - Apply technical knowledge to understand construction plans, blueprints, and related software. - Review and evaluate reconciliations, QS reports, and other client reports. - Demonstrate interpersonal skills by liaising with contractors, clients, and project professionals. - Employ analytical thinking to review architectural plans, identify cost implications, risks, and benefits. - Utilize communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and provide clear cost reports. - Apply project management skills to oversee all construction stages ensuring costs align with forecasts. - Demonstrate problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost discrepancies. - Utilize legal understanding to advise on contracts, warranties, and professional risks. - Stay updated on construction materials and industry trends to provide accurate estimates and progress reports. - Analyze contract terms and conditions, predict potential risks, and take necessary precautions. - Forecast costs of materials needed for projects, prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation. - Adapt the budget to reflect any changes made during the project.
