Quantity Surveyor (Civil Construction)

As a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Construction, your role involves various key responsibilities: - Cost Management and Budgeting: - Prepare accurate project cost estimates, including materials, labour, and equipment. - Develop, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure adherence. - Provide detailed cost reports and forecasts to management. - Tendering and Procurement: - Prepare and evaluate tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and pricing schedules. - Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids and make recommendations for selection. - Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favourable terms. - Contract Administration: - Review and interpret contract documents, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions. - Assess and manage variations, claims, and contractual disputes. - Maintain records of all project-related documentation and correspondence. - Reporting and Communication: - Prepare and present financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and cost analysis reports. - Act as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding financial matters. - Provide guidance to junior quantity surveyors or project staff as required. Key Skills and Competencies required for this role include: - Strong analytical and numerical skills. - Excellent knowledge of construction costs, materials, and methodologies. - Proficiency in industry-standard software such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying tools. - Familiarity with contract management software and systems. - Effective communication and negotiation skills. - Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. In terms of Educational Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required. - Minimum 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying in the construction industry. - Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are desirable but not mandatory. Please note that the work location for this position is in person. This is a full-time, permanent role with benefits such as health insurance, provident fund, day shift, shift allowance, and yearly bonus. The salary ranges from 22K-25K (Gross) per month for Diploma holders and 40K-45K (Gross) per month for B.E. / B.Tech. candidates.,
