Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor (QS) in the Civil industry, your role involves preparing cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules. You will conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs, and prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications. Your responsibilities also include analyzing project requirements, monitoring project budgets for cost efficiency, evaluating contractor work progress, and preparing progress reports for management. Additionally, you will be liaising with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, assisting in contract negotiations, preparing tender documents, and maintaining project cost records and documentation. Site visits to assess work progress and ensure compliance with project standards will also be part of your duties. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules. - Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs. - Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications. - Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements. - Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. - Evaluate contractor work progress and prepare progress reports for management. - Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials. - Assist in contract negotiations and preparation of tender documents. - Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial statements for project monitoring. - Conduct site visits to assess work progress and ensure compliance with project standards. - Prepare and maintain project cost records and documentation. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. - 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the building construction industry. - Proficiency in MS Office and relevant QS software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.). - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, and the work location is in person.,
