Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare

    detailed cost estimates

    ,

    BOQs (Bill of Quantities)

    , and

    rate analyses

    for MEP and electrical projects.
  • Evaluate

    drawings, specifications, and tender documents

    to identify scope and quantities.
  • Prepare

    preliminary budgets

    and assist in project cost planning.

2. Tendering & Bidding Support

  • Support the preparation of

    tender submissions

    , including cost breakdowns and technical clarifications.
  • Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams for

    vendor quotations and material rate finalization

    .
  • Analyze

    subcontractor quotations

    to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

3. Contract Administration

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing

    contracts, variations, and change orders

    .
  • Maintain all contractual and commercial documentation related to assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with

    contractual terms, conditions, and client requirements

    .

4. Project Cost Control & Monitoring

  • Track and monitor

    project costs, budgets, and expenditures

    on a regular basis.
  • Prepare

    cost-to-complete reports

    and highlight deviations from approved budgets.
  • Conduct

    value engineering

    to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.

5. Measurement & Valuation

  • Conduct

    on-site quantity measurements

    and verify subcontractor claims.
  • Prepare

    interim payment certificates (IPC)

    ,

    work progress reports

    , and

    final accounts

  • Validate and certify

    subcontractor and supplier bills

    in coordination with site and accounts teams.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with

    Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Finance

    teams.
  • Liaise with

    clients, consultants, and contractors

    for smooth project execution.
  • Provide technical and commercial input during project reviews.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed project documentation for

    cost, progress, and variations

    .
  • Prepare

    monthly cost reports

    and assist in management presentations.
  • Ensure all records comply with

    company and client standards

    .

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree in

    Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum

    4 years of experience

    in

    construction, infrastructure, or MEP/electrical projects

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP software.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
