Quantitative Developer Intern

Job Description 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantitative Developer Intern (1st, 2nd or 3rd year Eng students) to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust backtesting frameworks, all while working closely with and learning directly from our co-founders, who are industry experts. If you have a passion for quantitative analysis, algorithmic trading, and software development, this internship will provide you with invaluable technical skills and understanding of the industry.

Responsibilities 

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backtesting systems using Python. 
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to translate strategies into efficient and accurate backtesting code. 
• Work on validating backtesting results through rigorous testing and analysis. 
• Analyze historical data to support the validation and improvement of trading strategies. 
• Document code, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.

Qualifications 

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (1st, 2nd or 3rd year Eng students ONLY. Final-year students or those in their last semester of any program are not eligible.) 
• Strong programming skills in Python, with familiarity in numerical libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas). 
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). 
• Basic understanding of algorithmic trading concepts and financial instruments. 
• Have a keen interest in data analysis, quantitative methods, and technology. 
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 
• Ability to effectively utilize AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and others to enhance productivity and optimize daily tasks.
