Quality Technician - Level III

Role Overview: You will be responsible for building relationships with critical partners to enhance quality and business outcomes. This includes collaborating with external suppliers, external customers, and internal stakeholders like Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering. Additionally, you will utilize industry-standard processes and tools to develop or enhance external suppliers" manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Learn and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) tools, and Cummins specialty tools to enhance external suppliers" manufacturing processes. - Participate in external supplier audits and eventually lead low complexity and low-risk audits once certified as an auditor. - Assist in resolving quality challenges related to external suppliers by supporting root cause analysis, developing corrective actions, and verifying their effectiveness. You may lead the resolution of low complexity challenges after gaining experience. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the external supply base by participating in projects focused on product and process improvements using methodologies like lean and six-sigma. - Engage in quality performance planning and improvement processes for specific product types or segments of the external supply base. You may lead these processes for low complexity and low-risk product types or segments after gaining expertise. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. - Previous experience in quality management or supplier quality assurance. - Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) tools. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Certification as an auditor is a plus. ,
