Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of industry standards, statistical quality control, process improvement, and regulatory frameworks relevant to telecommunications manufacturing is important.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee quality control policies, procedures, and standards ensuring all products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and manage quality control teams including inspectors, technicians, and lab personnel to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to detect and address quality deviations, defects, or non-conformity in real-Me.
  • Coordinate raw material inspection, testing, and approval in line with supplier quality standards.
  • Conduct detailed inspection and tests of intermediate and final products, approve or reject outputs based on compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for product failures or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality tests, audits, reports, and product traceability records.
  • Interface and align with other departments such as production, engineering, procurement, and R&D to integrate quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ITU, IEC), statutory regulations, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing to reduce defects, waste, and rework.
  • Manage internal and external quality audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
  • Develop and provide training programs for quality awareness and best practices to the workforce.
  • Report quality metrics, trends, and deviations regularly to senior management.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) quality control during pilot runs and production ramp-up.
  • Lead supplier quality management, including audits and development programs.
  • This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in telecom/broadband product testing methodologies, standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • The QC Head ensures products consistently deliver reliability and performance critical to networking and telecommunications equipment.
