Quality & Seed production Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Knowledge of Commercial Seed Production, Agronomy, Disease & Pest Identification and it's control & Management, Supplementary pollination & Post harvest management (Drying, Shelling (Maize), Threshing (Paddy) & Storage
• Exposure of Off type identification, volunteer plants identification, Detasseling process in Maize, Supplementary pollination in Paddy
• Build and maintain relationships with organizers and farmer
• To take data in Maize, Wheat and Paddy.
• To manage & monitor the seed production activities to achieve the reliability and quality
• Implement and monitor seed production activities with vendors, growers & other stakeholders
• To prepare & share periodical report on seed production updates weekly and monthly
• Identify and prioritize critical projects with a focus on continuous improvement in quality, and process efficiency
• Coordinate and alignment with Quality control, & supply chain objectives
• Execute the specific crop field agronomy strategies to achieve defined quality and quantity
• To identify and manage grower level technical issues in his area of field production
• Generates effective communications, good relations, and a positive image with internal stakeholders, suppliers and co- workers, promoting teamwork
• Identify and initiate corrective action of non-conformity in documentation and processes
• Conduct high quality of field trials, identify right fields & growers, and ensure proper field production practices, harvesting and post harvesting as per seed production SOP
• Coordinate and or support seeds processing and quality activities as and when required
• Always maintain product security and confidentiality. Ensure 100% compliance while conducting and performing all the activities.
• Monitor crop growth and conduct rouging and quality checks at different stages of Maize and Paddy crops
• Provide technical guidance and training to farmers on best practices to achieve quality with quantity of seed
• Frequent travel within territory as well as out of the territory as per work requirement

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc.(Ag) or M.Sc Ag with 2 to 3 year of experience in Seed production, Agronomy, seed processing Seed Science, Plant Breeding, Genetics in reputed company.
• Candidate should have 2-wheeler valid driving license
• Self-Driven, good interpersonal and communication skills, team Player and stakeholder orientation
• Must possess working knowledge of computer especially MS Office (Excel, Power Point, etc)
