Quality manager – Steel casting Foundry

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quality Control functions of the Foundry Division.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality management systems (ISO, customer audits, etc.).
• Ensure inspection of raw materials, in-process castings, and final products meet specifications.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for chemical, mechanical, and microstructure testing.
• Review and approve quality documentation, test certificates, and customer reports.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
• Liaise with customers during audits, inspections, and technical discussions.
• Provide training and guidance to the QA team and promote a culture of quality.
• Maintain proper records of quality performance, NCRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Foundry Technology
• Minimum 8–12 years in quality assurance/control in a steel casting foundry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of casting processes, melting parameters, and metallurgical testing
• Expertise in quality systems (ISO/TS, QMS, and customer standards)
• Hands-on experience with NDT methods (UT, RT, MPI, DPI) and dimensional inspection
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer handling abilities
