Job Description

Role Summary

Responsible for ensuring rice quality across procurement, processing, polishing, sorting, packing, and dispatch. Manages lab testing, quality systems, supplier coordination, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain quality standards for raw to finished rice.
Conduct checks for moisture, purity, grain length, color, broken %, aroma.
Supervise lab testing, equipment calibration, and documentation.
Inspect and evaluate suppliers; coordinate with procurement.
Implement process improvements and ensure FSSAI/ISO/HACCP/BRC compliance.
Handle customer complaints and perform root-cause analysis.
Train staff and prepare quality reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
7–10 years’ experience in rice mills or rice export industry.
Knowledge of color sorters (Satake/Bühler), polishers, graders.
Strong understanding of Basmati/Non-Basmati grades, moisture control, milling parameters.
Good communication and team management skills.
