Job Description: Quality Control Manager – Packaging Line (Jaggery Cubes & Powder)Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee the packaging line for our Jaggery Cubes and Jaggery Powder. The QC Manager will ensure that all packaging processes meet the highest standards of quality, hygiene, safety, and compliance. The role involves monitoring packaging operations, implementing quality checks, training staff, and ensuring that final packed products meet customer and regulatory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesPackaging Quality Oversight Ensure packaging of jaggery cubes and powder is done as per company standards and specifications. Conduct regular checks on weight accuracy, sealing, labeling, printing (batch/expiry/MRP), and packaging material quality. Verify that packaging maintains product freshness, shelf life, and prevents contamination. Compliance & Standards Implement and maintain compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other food safety standards. Ensure all packaging materials (pouches, cartons, shrink wraps) meet approved quality norms. Maintain detailed documentation of quality control checks for audits and inspections. Process Monitoring & Control Supervise the packaging line team to ensure adherence to SOPs. Identify and resolve deviations or non-conformities in packaging immediately. Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow. Team Management & Training Train packaging staff on quality parameters, hygiene practices, and safety measures. Develop quality awareness among team members through regular audits and feedback. Continuous Improvement Identify areas for packaging process improvement and cost optimization without compromising quality. Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Collaborate with procurement to ensure vendor-supplied packaging material meets specifications. Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Quality Management, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in FMCG, preferably food & beverages. Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, processes, and material handling. Familiarity with FSSAI, ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership with the ability to train and manage teams effectively. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality products. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Zero packaging errors (weight, sealing, labeling). Compliance with food safety and regulatory audits. Reduction in packaging material wastage and rejections. On-time delivery of quality-approved packed products. Continuous improvement projects successfully implemented.
