Quality Head

Job Title: Quality Head – Foundry

Location: Uluberia, Howrah, West Bengal

Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy

Experience: Minimum 10 years in SG Iron (SGI) Casting Foundry, preferably in Manhole Cover Division

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, FDA, and IATF 16949.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
• Define and monitor Quality KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to embed quality into operations.
• Oversee quality control activities: incoming raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product validation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead, train, and mentor the Quality team to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with customers and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, foundry quality practices, and emerging standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of SGI Casting processes, molding, melting, machining, and finishing.
• Expertise in manhole cover casting quality parameters.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools (SPC, 7QC tools, FMEA, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage audits, documentation, and regulatory compliance independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
