Company – Food Industry (Kolkata) Working days and Working Time - All days of the week (10 am-8pm), 4 days leave in a month Job Title: Counter Staff (Retail Store) Job Summary: We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented Counter Staff for our Farsan retail store. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a keen interest in fresh snacks and food products. As a Counter Staff member, you will be responsible for assisting customers, handling sales transactions, maintaining cleanliness at the counter, and ensuring the quality and freshness of products served. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their orders, answer inquiries about products, and provide recommendations on farsan items based on preferences. Sales & Cash Handling: Accurately process customer orders, handle cash and digital payments, and maintain a balanced cash register. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the store’s product offerings, including the various types of farsan, snacks, and share this knowledge with customers to enhance their shopping experience. Food Display & Stocking: Ensure that products are displayed attractively and that stock evels are monitored. Replenish items as needed and ensure that products are kept fresh. Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized counter area, following hygiene standards to ensure the quality and safety of food products. Packaging & Serving: Package and serve products to customers in a neat, efficient, and timely manner. Record Keeping: Maintain inventory records and report low stock levels to the store manager. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth store operations and deliver excellent customer service. Skills & Qualifications: Education: High school or Graduates (preferred). Experience: Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer-facing roles is a plus. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle cash transactions,strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift light to medium-weight packages, and work in a fast-paced environment. Hygiene & Safety: Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred, with the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary working environment. Personal Traits: Friendly, approachable, and customer focused. Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Team player with a positive attitude.
