Quality Engineer

Designation: Quality Engineer – Oil & Gas
Location: Rajkot, Gujarat
Experience Required: More than 2 years

Key Responsibilities

1. Final Inspection & Verification

• Perform detailed final inspections on pressure-containing equipment, valves, wellhead components, pipelines, structural items, and related oil & gas products.
• Ensure all dimensional, visual, mechanical, and functional characteristics meet approved drawings and specifications.
• Verify material traceability, heat numbers, certificates, and MTR conformity.
• Validate welding quality, NDT results, hydrotest reports, and coating/painting compliance.

2. Documentation & Quality Records

• Review and verify final documentation packages, including:
• Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• Quality Control Plans (QCPs)
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports
• Pressure test reports
• Calibration certificates
• Mill Test Certificates (MTCs/MTRs)
• Ensure all inspection records are complete, accurate, and filed according to company and client requirements.
• Sign off products for release only when fully compliant.

3. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, such as:
• API (6A, 16A, 5L, etc.)
• ASME (Section VIII, IX, B31.3)
• ISO 9001
• Verify compliance with client-specific project specifications and procedures.

4. Non-Conformance Identification

• Identify and report any non-conforming products, materials, or processes.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate with QA/QC engineers to resolve issues.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

5. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with production, engineering, and NDT teams during final inspection activities.
• Communicate inspection results effectively and professionally.
• Support client and third-party inspectors during audits and final release inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 2-4years in QC/inspection with Machinery company/Manufacturing company & Oil & Gas company.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
