Quality Control Technician

As a Raw Honey Quality Inspector, your role involves inspecting and testing incoming raw honey to ensure high quality standards are met. You will be responsible for conducting various tests including: - Checking moisture content (which should be below 20%) - Monitoring HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural) levels - Analyzing sugar profile for fructose/glucose ratio - Assessing color and aroma - Verifying pollen content for origin identification - Detecting presence of contaminants or residues such as antibiotics or pesticides In addition to the quality inspection, your key responsibilities will include: - Performing regular lab tests like moisture test using refractometer, HMF test, and diastase activity assessment - Conducting pH, acidity, electrical conductivity tests, and sugar profile analysis - Carrying out adulteration and microbiological tests - Ensuring proper filtering, heating, and homogenization of honey during processing - Maintaining records of heating temperatures, batch logs, and tank cleaning activities - Following hygiene and safety compliance standards such as GMP, FSSAI/ISO regulations, and food safety protocols - Conducting packaging quality checks before bottling, ensuring food-grade materials and accurate labeling Moreover, you will be responsible for documentation and reporting by: - Keeping daily test records and batch-wise lab reports - Preparing Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch - Handling regulatory paperwork including FSSAI, Export documents, and lab test reports The qualifications required for this role include MSc Agriculture, BSc Agriculture, B.Voc, or M.Tech Food.
