Quality Control Technician

As a Raw Honey Quality Inspector, your role involves inspecting and testing incoming raw honey to ensure high quality standards. Key responsibilities include: - Testing moisture content (should be below 20%) - Checking HMF levels - Analyzing sugar profile (fructose/glucose ratio) - Evaluating color, aroma, and pollen content for origin verification - Detecting presence of contaminants or residues (e.g., antibiotics, pesticides) In your laboratory testing responsibilities, you will: - Conduct moisture tests using a refractometer - Perform HMF tests to assess heating damage - Evaluate diastase activity levels - Measure pH, acidity, and electrical conductivity for botanical origin determination - Analyze sugar profile using HPLC or TLC methods - Conduct adulteration tests and microbiological tests for yeast, mold, and bacteria Your duties in process monitoring in the honey processing unit include: - Ensuring proper filtering, heating, and homogenization of honey - Maintaining records of heating temperatures and batch logs - Monitoring tank cleaning and sanitation procedures - Preventing overheating to maintain honey quality To uphold hygiene and safety compliance, you must: - Follow GMP and FSSAI/ISO standards - Maintain cleanliness in the lab and processing area - Implement food safety protocols, including HACCP if required In packaging quality checks, you will: - Test honey for moisture and quality prior to bottling - Ensure packaging materials are food-grade and properly sealed - Verify labeling compliance with batch number, date of packing, expiry, and nutritional information Additionally, your responsibilities will involve documentation and reporting, including: - Maintaining daily test records and batch-wise lab reports - Preparing Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch - Handling regulatory paperwork such as FSSAI, export documents, and lab test reports Qualifications required for this role include: - MSc Agriculture - BSc Agriculture - B.Voc - M.Tech Food This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for fresher candidates.
