A Quality Controller in a peanut chikki manufacturing unit plays a crucial role in ensuring that the product meets established safety, quality, and regulatory standards from raw material to finished good. Here's a breakdown of their key roles and responsibilities: I. Overall Responsibilities & Objectives: Ensuring Product Safety: Paramount to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure the chikki is safe for consumption. This involves controlling potential hazards throughout the production process. Maintaining Product Quality & Consistency: Ensuring that each batch of peanut chikki consistently meets specifications for taste, texture, appearance, nutritional value, and other sensory attributes. Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to all local and national food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI in India) and industry standards (e.g., ISO standards). Waste Reduction & Efficiency: Identifying and addressing quality issues early to minimize product defects, rework, and waste, thereby improving overall efficiency. Customer Satisfaction & Brand Reputation: Contributing to customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products and protecting the company's reputation by preventing recalls and negative publicity. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifying areas for improvement in quality control procedures and processes.
