This is your chance to be part of a new shared service that brings the best of two councils together to strengthen risk and assurance. Napier City Council and Hawke’s Bay Regional Council have joined forces to create a shared Risk and Assurance service – a fresh, collaborative approach that brings together the strengths of both organisations. Help shape a centre of excellence that builds internal expertise, fosters innovation, and delivers real value to our communities. Working across both councils, this new team will lift risk maturity, embed a proactive risk culture, and strengthen strategic decision-making for the future.
As the Quality and Business Improvement Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of improving business processes, strengthening compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency. You’ll analyse data, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions that improve performance across teams. From supporting internal audits and ensuring ISO readiness to driving process improvement initiatives, your work will have a direct impact on the organisation’s effectiveness, quality standards, and ability to deliver results.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. You’ll be based in Napier CBD.
The annual salary package for this role is between $91,455 and $107,594 (including KiwiSaver), depending on your skills and experience.
