QS Engineer

Key Responsibility

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of construction.

• Measurement & Valuation:

• Measure quantities using engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct valuations of work done.

• Tendering & Procurement:

• Prepare and issue tender documents to subcontractors.
• Evaluate tender submissions and assist in contractor selection.

• Contract Administration:

• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.

• Cost Control & Reporting:

• Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.

• Collaboration:

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, architects, and clients.
• Provide advice on cost implications and project feasibility.
  

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in a similar role (may vary based on the company).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and costing techniques.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with local construction laws and industry standards.
