Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Planning:

    Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists for all firefighting system installations.
  • On-Site Inspection:

    Conduct regular inspections of materials, installations, and workmanship at various stages of the project to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Compliance & Standards:

    Ensure all fire fighting system installations (including hydrant, sprinkler, and suppression systems) strictly adhere to NFPA codes, local fire safety regulations, and client requirements.
  • Documentation:

    Prepare, maintain, and manage all QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, material approval requests, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective/preventive action reports.
  • Testing & Commissioning:

    Witness, verify, and document all testing and commissioning activities for firefighting systems, including hydro-testing, pump performance tests, and system integration tests.
  • Coordination:

    Liaise with the project management team, client representatives, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies on all quality-related matters.
  • Problem Resolution:

    Identify quality-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and work collaboratively with the project team to implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Reporting:

    Provide regular reports to project management on the status of quality control activities, including highlighting any risks or areas of concern.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering field.
  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer with a strong focus on firefighting and fire protection systems in commercial or industrial projects. Experience in data center projects is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25) and other relevant Indian and international codes.
  • Hands-on experience with the inspection and quality assurance of fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, pump rooms, and gas-based suppression systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Noida region.
