QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Vantage Circle, you will utilize your 3-4 years of comprehensive testing experience, focusing on mobile automation testing, to drive quality assurance initiatives. Your role will involve defining testing strategies, mentoring junior team members, and upholding the highest quality standards across our platform. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic QA Leadership: - Crafting and executing comprehensive test strategies for intricate, multi-platform applications - Leading end-to-end testing endeavors for significant product releases and feature introductions - Establishing and upholding QA best practices, standards, and processes organization-wide - Spearheading test automation initiatives and framework development - Collaborating with product management and engineering teams on quality requirements and acceptance criteria - Achieving an optimal balance between manual and automated testing approaches Technical Excellence: - Creating, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites for web, mobile, and API testing - Leading mobile automation testing for iOS and Android applications using Appium - Conducting exhaustive manual testing for complex user workflows and edge cases - Performing advanced testing including integration, regression, performance, security, and accessibility testing - Leading API testing efforts and validating system integrations - Conducting thorough code reviews of test automation scripts and frameworks Team Leadership & Mentorship: - Mentoring and guiding junior QA engineers - Leading knowledge sharing sessions and producing technical documentation - Cultivating a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle - Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering Quality Assurance & Risk Management: - Identifying potential quality risks and devising mitigation strategies - Analyzing test metrics and delivering detailed quality reports to stakeholders - Leading root cause analysis for critical production issues - Establishing quality gates and release criteria for various environments - Driving continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes To qualify for this role, you must possess: - 3-4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Proven experience in leading QA initiatives for SaaS or web-based applications - Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies In addition to the required qualifications, expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar, advanced knowledge of mobile automation testing using Appium for iOS and Android platforms, and familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar are essential. Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#, experience with performance testing tools, and knowledge of databases and data validation techniques are also expected. Experience in HR Tech, Employee Engagement, or SaaS platforms, certifications in ISTQB Advanced Level or Agile Testing, and knowledge of machine learning/AI testing approaches are considered advantageous. Familiarity with compliance testing, test data management, and progressive web app testing are also beneficial.
